This was my first ever job, and I was there for the first year it was open. I have such great memories if this place. :)
Everyone who knows me knows that Trey and Matt are the two comedians who have unquestionably had the biggest impact on my life. What most people probably don’t realize is that The Kids in the Halls have had almost as much of an impact as they have. This quite possibly wins the award for my favorite video on all of Youtube.

This honestly screams urban legend to me. Where’s the proof of this actually being true?
This is the 1993 Official Sailormoon Fan Book, published and presented by Nakayoshi Weekly. It’s a guide to the first season of the anime / the first arc of the manga, dealing primarily with the Dark Kingdom. It also contains some trivia questions and some other tidbits that make this an interesting read even for serious Sailormoon fans.
We released this back in February, but this translation just can’t get enough love. You can download it by clicking here. Hope you’ll enjoy!
SPOILERS ALERT. Don’t read the rest of this caption or watch the video if you have not seen PGSM and don’t want it spoiled.
As somebody who only very recently went through the loss of her sister to cancer, I just can’t describe how deeply this act resonated with me. Though I remained calm and level-headed on the outside, I think on the inside my reaction was the same as Mars’s. The whole tone of this episode feels exactly like what I went through. Even the sense of my sister trying to let me know she was at peace afterwards. Minako’s laughter in the last shot I believe is such a deep truth on the subject.
Because of this entire series, but especially this quarter of the act, I finally allowed my Mars-esque reaction come out. It’s the first step towards healing. Well, recovering at least. Nothing will ever heal the hole left by my sister.
Thank you, PGSM, for being something for me that nothing else could. Thank you to the writers of this show for not making a mockery of what it’s really like to go through something like this; for understanding. I’m sorry that you probably had to have gone through it yourself to have known. But I feel a little less alone in this hell I’ve been living for the past year. I only hope that one day I’m able to channel it out in the amazing, constructive way that you were able to.
Just like how the Sun sometimes shows his face through the clouds,
I’m sure you’ll see me again and keep smiling, even if things get
tough.
When you’re sad is the best time to smile.
Because it shows you are alive.
I wanted to do the Sailor Moon rewatch going on over at Sailor Failures. I couldn’t pass up the chance to do this, right? ;D
Before watching this episode, on a scale of 1-10, how much are you looking forward to seeing it again? I’m gonna go with 7 here. I’ve seen the episode countless times, and it’s not really the most interesting episode. If anything, it just gives me a sense of, “let’s move on to the good stuff,” though since that’s what it’s supposed to do I guess that means it was successful. :P Also, I’ve been watching PGSM lately, and completely fallen in love with it. I hope that love hasn’t ruined my love for the anime, so we’ll see.
Favourite Screencap HAHAHA, SEE ABOVE OF COURSE. ;D
Favourite Moment: Probably the moment she meets Mamoru for the first time. :) Though I also love her reaction to Luna.
Least Favourite Moment: Umino squealing about them getting their test results back to Ikuko. XD
What’s one thing you noticed/realised about this episode that you hadn’t before? Luna’s seems to somehow know Usagi’s name beforehand… how? Artemis? There are also English signs scattered through out Naru’s mother’s store, lol. :)
On a scale of 1-10, how would you rate the episode? 7 or 8… it’s an important episode, and a solid way to start the series, but there are much better ones to come.
And finally, Celebrate It! We wanna make each week a celebration of that certain episode, so here is where you do your part; make something new based around this episode! It could be an animated .gif, or fanart, or a graphic, or a wallpaper, or a poem - anything at all. Make a YouTube video of you and your friends re-enacting a wonderful (or terrible) scene. Write a limerick to the VoTD. Anything. It doesn’t even have to be “good” - just so long as you get in there and do something fun!
How about I go back and edit the translation on Miss Dream’s version, since it was done before I joined? That’s the only thing I really feel like doing, hahaaha. :P
